Ellen The Critter Sitter prides herself on her professionalism and knowledge of proper pet care. I strive to provide excellent service to my clients and their pets. It is my goal to establish and maintain a long-term relationship based on trust and first-class services.
Notice Please always give as much notice as possible. Reservations are taken on a first-come first-served basis. I fill up quickly and I do not overbook.

Vaccinations My Pet Sitter Insurance requires that pets in my care are up to date on vaccines, including a rabies vaccine.

Reservations Once you have set up your online secure client portal in the Time To Pet app, please use that platform for all reservations, cancellations, and schedule changes. Simply go into your account and press the Schedule button. Please try not to use texting or social platform messaging as a form of communication with me after you have set up your account. It has led to miscommunication regarding scheduling and care details. Of course, in an emergency, please call me directly.
Client Portal In the Time To Pet client portal, please fill out all of your contact info, vet info, and pet care details. Please be sure to keep your info updated when there are changes. This is what I use to carry out my services. You may also use it to check your schedule, request and cancel services.
Hours of Operation Drop-in visits may be scheduled between the hours of 7am-5pm. Of course that would not apply for overnight stays. Any earlier or later poses a safety risk as I do not see well while driving at night.
Scheduling visit times I will make every effort to visit your pets as close to the time requested as possible. But it is not like setting an appointment. I have 2 hour blocks of time that are schedulable. I will, of course, arrange a much narrower block of time for geriatrics, pups, and those that require medication at a specific time.
Payment I only accept cash, check or disburse money with Zelle® payments.
Ellen The Critter Sitter is not authorized, endorsed, or sponsored by Early Warning Services, LLC-Owner of Zelle® Marks used.
Unless otherwise arranged, payment is to be in full at the beginning of each visit or set of visits.
Cancellation Policies Forty-eight hour notice is required when canceling a drop-in visit. If service is canceled with less than a 48 hour notice, a $25.00 cancellation fee will be incurred. A seven day cancellation notice is required for extended overnight stays or a 50% fee will apply. Please understand that I have set this time aside for you and I may have turned down other bookings. I may give partial returns under certain circumstances.
Last Minute Reservations I will always try to accommodate, but understand I may not be available.
Home Access Please have your house key ready when I start my services with you. If you will be requesting that I enter through the garage, I still need a key in the event of a power outage. It is best to have two forms of entry.
Emergency Care In the event that your pet requires immediate medical attention, I will first attempt to contact you prior to obtaining emergency care. But Ellen The Critter Sitter has the authority to act in your pet’s best interest even if I have not been able to contact you. Client will reimburse Ellen The Critter Sitter for all charges incurred while tending to emergency or veterinary care within three calendar days.
Extreme weather In the event of extreme weather when driving is dangerous, I will make every effort to make it to visits as scheduled. If too dangerous or people are being ordered to stay off the roads, I will get there as soon as possible but cannot risk my or other’s safety. In this event, it is recommended you give a neighbor access to your home and give me their contact info should I need to reach out to them.
